ITALIAN LANGUAGE COURSES IN BOLOGNA, ITALY

You can learn Italian with one of our Italian language courses in Italy. Choose between General or Intensive Italian courses, or even individual Italian lessons. Choosing the right course will help you make the most of your time studying Italian in Italy, and still keep within your budget.

General Italian courses

This is the most popular option. You will study for four hours in the morning, in a group with no more than 6 other people. Each Italian lesson will contain new grammar, vocabulary, and lots of opportunities to speak and listen to Italian, and to improve your pronunciation. Usually students choose to take a coffee break mid-morning with their teacher in a local bar - it's a great chance to practise what you've learnt, as well as to relax! You will also have around ten hours of homework to do each week, and if you wish you can choose to do it at the school in the afternoons during the two hour supervised study period. And, after all that hard work, you'll have the chance to have fun with our social programme! More information about General Italian courses.

Intensive Italian courses

For those who want to the maximum amount of study during their time in Bologna, an Intensive Italian language course is the answer. You will participate in a morning class with students doing a General Italian course, as well as joining another class for two hours each afternoon. The afternoon classes are usually very small, and so are an excellent chance to study areas of particular interest, or revise things you have found difficult, as well as speaking, speaking, speaking! You will also have around ten hours of homework to do each week. And, after all that hard work, you'll have the chance to have fun with our social programme too! More information about Intensive Italian courses.

Evening Italian courses (for students and others!)

For students on exchange programmes at Bologna University, au-pairs, and others who cannot attend classes during the day, we offer evening classes, twice a week, for four weeks. Students on evening classes are welcome to participate in the social programme organised for our "full-time" students - a great way to meet new people in Bologna, while practising your Italian. The cost of the course also includes free Internet access at any time during school opening hours (normally 09.00 to 21.00 + Saturday morning), as well as use of our library and DVD library - we have hundreds of DVDS for you to borrow! More information about evening Italian courses.

Individual Italian lessons

Choosing individual Italian lessons gives you complete flexibility and privacy while you're learning Italian. You can choose to study in the morning, or in the afternoon, and at a time to suit you. There is no minium or maximum number of hours per day, and the content of your Italian lessons is completely up to you - just tell us what your priorities and objectives are and we will do the rest. If you wish, you can also take part in our social programme, along with the students in group classes. More information about Individual Italian lessons.

Semi-individual Italian lessons

For married couples or friends who are at a similar level and wish to study together. This option is cheaper than individual lessons, but can also be more fun! As for Individual Italian lessons, flexibility, both in terms of the structure and content of your Italian language course, is a big advantage. If you wish, you and your friend can take part in our social programme too. More information about Semi-individual Italian lessons.

Italian homestay courses

Madrelingua is pleased to work with external teachers who organise Italian homestay courses, in which students follow a personalised individual or semi-individual course of lessons and activities taught in the teacher's home, or at the students accommodation. This is an ideal solution for those who want a high level of personal attention in an informal setting, rather than attending a more traditional language course.
