who, along with her British husband, Daniel, is also the owner of the school. Madrelingua was set up to exploit the strengths of this bi-lingual marriage: the school is used to teach Italian to foreigners during the day (under Stefania's leadership), and to teach English to residents of Bologna in the afternoons and evenings. Administration and marketing is shared, as are the attractive facilities, such as the multimedia room and the library/study area.

Madrelingua doesn't spend a lot on advertising its Italian courses, preferring to remain a small, friendly school, and relying on ex-students, and on this Internet site, to spread the word. Paola - with more years of teaching experience than she cares to mention, Paola is a valued all-rounder who delights her students, whoever they are and whatever their particular needs are.
Lucia - a young and enthusiastic teacher who is always ready to listen to her students and to help them with their learning. At the moment she is dividing her time between Bologna and London.
